PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS: The aim of this assessment is for you to analyse why an intrapreneurial idea of an existing/real well-known company/organisation failed?
Instructions:
The Plan must include the following headings with the recommended content described below:
· Introduction
Here you provide the project summary. What was the intrapreneurial idea and brief description/details of the product/service, i.e. what was it? Where was it launched? When was this? And briefly few sentences outlining the failure you are about to analyse.
· Analysis
What went wrong? Analyse all the relevant points you think are important and were crucial in contributing to the failure of the corporate venture. Suggested areas to focus in this section could be (but not limited to) incorrect market segment, incorrect market location, bad timing of launch, insufficient research, increased market competition, issues with patents, response from competitors, issues with complementary industries or partners, external issues like financial crisis, droughts or trade sanctions, lack of funding, worker union issues, issues with corporate social responsibility, not going LEAN etc.
· Conclusion
What have you learned from this case? What should be avoided? Provide some recommendations and support them with precedent cases or references.
