It is short summary that is included at the beginning of a report which provides an overview of the report. The abstract should only be written AFTER the report has been finalized, and all the points are in place. It should tell us briefly what the topic of the report is and why this topic is important. The abstract should then set out in one sentence the purpose of the report as well as the audience will be most likely to read and appreciate the information in this report. The abstract will tell the reader where the information or evidence in the report came from (which books, websites, journals? What year range? Where did the evidence come from in terms of country and organization?), and what the limitations of your research are. Finally the abstract must tell the reader the 3-5 most important findings from your research and what this means for the business community.

Introduction:

The introduction sets out a formal, brief background to the company or case and the conceptual or theoretical material that is relevant to the case. What did you find were the key business principles at stake in this case? Why did you find are there different points of view or approaches to this issue? According to the literature how can these dilemmas be resolved? According to the literature how does business theory help us to consider these problems from different angles?
