As an expert on the crime fiction genre, you have been invited to deliver a presentation at the 2022 Crime Writers’ Convention. In your presentation you will compare the way two or three texts have explored an element of the genre. Some examples: the use of the sidekick, importance of landscape, various interpretations of well-known detectives, etc.

You will develop a clear thesis and explore it by comparing and contrasting the texts and evaluating their success. In your presentation consider: how the texts are shaped by the context how the texts reflect or challenge the conventions of the crime genre
