BMW is a renowned company in the world selling automobiles. Its recent advertisement regarding its car about zero-emission claims was refuted by the Advertising Watchdog as the agency found that claims of BMW were not clear. The banned ad by Advertising Watchdog raises serious questions from BMW about its responsibility towards sustainable and environmental development and preservation. Responding to the complaint the BMW Company said that the i3 electric car produced no emission while driving but such a demonstration was not possible in the advertisement. Allegations such as not having clarity whether the ad used petrol or battery model car and a statement of helping to give back to the environment were misleading to the consumer.
