BACKGROUND / INTRODUCTION

Choose a major listed company and its two listed competitor companies on the Colombo Stock Exchange - CSE or any other globally recognised stock exchange. 

Write a report to the board of directors of the chosen three companies. The report must cover following areas,

Part -1

Obtain the annual reports of the selected company and its two main competitors within the same industry over the period 2013-2019 (six years) from its website or other sources.

(a) Write an introductory report on the activities of the company and its position in the industry with respect to its two main competitors.

(b) Plot the dividend per share and the earnings per share of the last six years of the company and its two main competitors. 

(c) Obtain the share price of the company and its two main competitors from 1 Jan 2013 to 1 Jan 2019 from Yahoo finance or other sources and plot their relative performance, indexing them at 100 at the beginning of 2013.
