Jazeera Stadium Case

The ABC Company is preparing a bid to build the new 60,000 seat Jazeera football stadium. The construction must start January 1st, 2015, and be completed by October 1st, 2018 season. A penalty clause of AED 20,000 per each delay day beyond the deadline is written into the contract.

Mohammed Ahmed, the president of the company, expressed optimism at obtaining the contract and revealed that the company could net as much as AED 4.2 million on the project. He also said if they are successful, the prospects for future projects are quite good since there is a projected renaissance in building classic ball parks with modern luxury boxes.

Project

Given the information provided in Table 1 which lists the network activities, their durations, and predecessors for the Jazeera Stadium Case, do the following tasks:

Draw the Activity Network Diagram (using suitable software).

Find the Critical Path(s). Will the project be able to be completed by the deadline? How long will it take?

Task 3

Find ES, EF, LS, LF, and Slack of all activities.

Task 4

Based on the schedule would you recommend that ABC pursue this contact? Why? Include a one-page Gantt chart for the stadium schedule.

Task 5

The following table shows the resource demand in terms of number of workers involved in each activity. Assuming the total number of available workers are 130 workers, use the parallel method to draw the resource scheduled network. Use MS Project to build the resource scheduled network and then find the completion date of the project. Find how much total penalty will be.
