Essay assignment guidelines

There are several diseases/conditions that burden the sufferer and their family, as well as the healthcare system. By understanding the mechanisms of such diseases/conditions, we can get an idea of the impacts on a specific population.

Using the PICO format (see below), develop a research question and write an essay on the impact of a health condition on at least two body systems among a specific Australian population. Choose from the table below a targeted population, and one of the common health conditions and detail how this chosen population develops the chosen health condition and later how this health condition impacts the anatomy and physiology of two or more body systems.

PICO format stands for P- Population/patient, I- Intervention/Indication, C- Comparator/Control and O-Outcome 

For example, Population/patient such as diabetic Australian adults, I- Intervention/Indication Chronic Kidney Failure, C- Comparator/Control: Healthy system vs non-healthy system (anatomy and Physiology) and O-Outcome: Impact on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems (anatomy and physiology). 

Therefore, the research question will be: How does Chronic Kidney Failure impact the respiratory and cardiovascular systems among diabetic Australian adults?
