Case Study

I. Objective

You (as an individual or a group of two students) are asked to conduct one case study along with policy analysis on a topic of transportation in some urban context.

II. Topic & Case Selection & Coordination

Your case selection depends on your own technological expertise (pillar), academic interest, and/or future professional career, from any part of the world. However, a specific and unique case on a certain geographic scale is highly encouraged (*don’t set a too broad theme, such as “public transportation” and “car sharing”). Note that your assignment #2 is something about Changi Airport. Please avoid Changi Airport as your final project case (*another airport case in any other country contexts is fine). In order to avoid selecting the same or too similar topics among individual students and groups, please upload one PDF file including the below three items on e-dimension by 29 February 2020:

• Student Name(s) & ID(s), working as an individual or a group of two students

• Topic (e.g., “Competitive Land Use Patterns for Industries around Hub Airports”) 

• Case (e.g., “Changi Airport and Neighboring Districts in Singapore”)

III. Case Study Outline

While the case selection is specific and unique, the case study should commonly include the following items:

• Meaningful Title, with your student name & ID

• Introduction: Case Background & Problem Statement Topic:

Examining the Objective, Mechanism and Impact of Price Policy of Urban Transportation on

Mobility

Case:

Free of Charge Public Transport Policy in Luxembourg

• Study Area, Unit, and/or Period Specification

• Applied Technology

• Policy Analysis

• Conclusion: Lessons and Policy Implications
