Overview
The assessments in this course follow on from each other. Beginning with identifying and defining a consumer friction point for an organisation, then researching potential solutions, and culminating with the presentation of a consumer analytics strategy which solves for the identified consumer friction point.
In Assessment 1 you have completed the Proposal on A Page (POAP) in which consumer friction point in an organisation was identified together with success criteria, risks, etc. In Assessment 2 you conducted a literature review on the research tools, technologies and recommended potential solutions to implement the consumer analytics strategy for consumer friction point identified in Assessment 1.
In this assessment you will collate all the materials you have created and produce the consumer analytics strategy. You will create a PowerPoint (PPT) deck and make a video recording to pitch your strategy to executive level stakeholders.
Assessment criteria
This assessment will measure your ability to:
• Develop a plan for implementing a consumer analytics strategy to solve for a defined organisational friction point.
• Explain and justify the selection of tools, technologies, methods and approaches that are proposed to solve the organisational problem
• Professionally communicate the plan to executive level industry stakeholders.
Assessment Details
Your consumer analytics strategy brings together all the work you have completed in the course. It should include:
• an overview of the organisation
• an outline of the identified problem
• the consumer friction point and phase of the customer life cycle from which the problem was identified
• the chosen tools, technologies, methods and approaches in enough technical detail to convince your audience on the feasibility of the solutions and also the justifications for the selection
• the timeline
• the metrics (i.e. success criteria and risks)
Creating your Presentation
You will create a PowerPoint (PPT) deck of 8 to 10 slides and record a 4 to 5-minute video presentation to pitch your consumer analytics strategy. A pitch is short, so you must communicate your points clearly and succinctly.
Your presentation with audio narration must be uploaded as a video file. You can use PowerPoint to create your slides, but they then must be converted to video. Raw PowerPoint slides are not permitted. The vodcast must include the following:
• the original data visualisation
• your narration (audio)
• any supporting materials such as images, information etc. (make sure you attribute the source)
The quickest and easiest way to create the presentation is to use Microsoft Powerpoint. We recommend that you record your video presentation using Canvas studio, but you may use the tool of your choice. Read the guide: How do I record a Canvas Studio screen capture video in a course?
