Introduction: The end of term project requires you to analyze some of the business aspects of two different businesses operating within the same industry, within the framework of the course material and any other suitable material.
Task: Your task is to apply theories, models, concepts and principles from the course to enable you analyze, compare and contrast one of the following pairs of businesses: -
A) McDonald’s Corporation vs. Burger King Corporation; and
B) H& M Group vs. Zara
The focus of your analysis will depend on which topic and letter (A or B) you will be assigned to. (See topic and letters on last page) Note, this is an individual based project and not a group project

Research and Data Collection: You are allowed to use a combination of primary and secondary data for this project. However, you should Not attempt to set up a formal interview with the company, as there is a specific protocol to follow for this. You are also strongly advised to primarily use secondary data given the COVID-19 pandemic. If you choose to visit a shop to obtain primary data, do take note that you are responsible for observing any health and safety protocols.
Also, note that this project is not a research project. That is, you are not to simply present information you find or obtain. The project requires you to analyze research/information obtained. Remember, every information, summary, ideas, paraphrases etc. obtained have to be cited using the APA style.
