Case Study of a student

Your task is to design a case study student with a special need based on your interest area or a friend or family member with a special need whom you observed closely. You can use your imagination to describe the student and the wider literature to provide context to your case study student and include the following sub sections in your case study assessment:

Your written component must include the following sub sections:

• Context for your case study student. This should include clear identification of relevant characteristics of your case study student and the impact of these in the classroom/school. Include possible strengths of case study student, possible learning needs of case study student and sound analysis of possible issues of concern well supported by research

• The inclusive teaching practices/differentiated strategies for your case study student that is inclusive of all students

• Your understanding of ways to work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and community agency personnel to ensure the inclusion of your case study student 

• acknowledgement of all sources with references cited in the text as well as a correctly formatted reference list. All references cited in text must appear in the reference list; conversely each entry in the reference list must be cited in the text. You are expected to abide by APA referencing conventions as set out in the 6th edition of the APA Publication Manual.

• Clear, correct and concise written expression and a standard or academic writing that would be expected at second year university level. Logical and well sequenced information.
