Your thought on corporate governance is a common research area in accounting with tremendous research articles in the literature.

However, you need to search/collect and read relevant articles in that topic to develop your research insights / direction / focus. Don't just write on your own in the dark without knowledge of the literature. Just do a replication study based on a prior research in which you are interested.
