You're required to research and report on a minimum of three forms of assessment in mathematics that have an impact on children’s learning and development in Australian primary schools.

Your report must include relevant theory and academic literature and links to relevant National and/or State or Territory Curriculum. It must also adhere to the following components:

1. Executive summary

A short, sharp summary of whole report.

2. Introduction

Introduce types of assessment in mathematics and state which ones the report will focus on.

Briefly explain the relevance of the chosen assessment types you'll be discussing.

3. Findings

Discuss the key benefits and implications of chosen assessment types.

Identify factors that contribute to the use of the assessment types.

Report on the potential effects of the assessment types in relation to children’s learning and development in mathematics in the primary context.

4. Conclusion

Include recommendations for policies and teaching practices for the assessment of mathematics in the primary school context.
