Activity 1. For this Assessment Activity, you will be required to analyse and evaluate systems and performance in key areas of StorPlus Warehouse to identify opportunities for improvement by reviewing their programs, systems and processes (as per the dot points listed below)

To assist you in this Activity, you have been provided are provided with a range of business documents of StorPlus Warehouse (at Attachment 1).

Once you have analysed and evaluated their systems and performance in key areas of StorPlus Warehouse and will then be required to identify opportunities for improvement. In addition, you should also seek advice from experts in this field (your Assessor will role-play an expert for this Activity). At the conclusion of your discussions with the expert, you will then be required to develop a report outlining the following:

• What you have analysed and evaluated

• What opportunities for improvement you have identified, and

• What advice you have received from your expert realting to the above two points

Show your draft report to your Trainer for feedback, incorporate any changes you believe are required and then submit the final report to your Assessor as evidence for summative assessment.

During this Activity, you will be observed by your Assessor demonstrating the following:

Reviewing programs, systems and processes by:

• Establish strategies to monitor and evaluate performance and sustainability of key systems and processes

• Undertake detailed analyses of supply chains, and operational, product and service delivery systems

• Identify performance measures, and assessment tools and techniques, and evaluate their effectiveness

• Analyse performance reports and variance from plans for key result areas of the organisation

• Identify and analyse changing trends and opportunities relevant to the organisation

• Seek advice from specialists, where appropriate, to identify technology and electronic commerce opportunities
