You could consider:

An organisation that operates in an industry that you are familiar with requiring a workplace relationship strategy and plan. The organisation could be a current or past employer or could be an organisation that is listed in the ASX (this type of organisation provides comprehensive and detailed information about their operations in their annual report and website).

You will develop the assessment from the perspective of a senior manager in the organisation.

You will develop the assessment from the perspective of the restaurant manager.
A different scenario might be provided at the discretion of your trainer.
SECTION 1 – WORKPLACE RELATIONSHIPS PLAN
Prepare a workplace relationship plan that addresses:
Effective and efficient communication needs in the organisation
Issue management
Staff engagement strategies
Workplace diversity management
Networks and relationship management
Conflict management
The plan must be relevant to the scenario/organisation that you have chosen to complete your assessment.
WORKPLACE RELATIONSHIP PLAN
1. Purpose
Brief statement about the purpose of the plan
2. Organisational background
Describe the organisation: industry, market position, product offering. 
Include an organisational chart.
3. Communication
Briefly introduce this section.
3.1 Achievement of work responsibilities
Describe what strategies and processes have been developed to communicate information associated with the achievement of work responsibilities.
3.2 Consultation process and feedback
Address the following
o Describe the consultation process that has been developed to ensure all employees have the opportunity to contribute to issues related to their work role.
o Describe how feedback to employees on outcomes of the consultation process will be shared and managed.
4. Cultural diversity and ethical values
Briefly introduce this section.
4.1 Cultural Diversity
Describe what strategies and policies have been developed to ensure that organisation’s cultural diversity is adhered to.
4.2 Ethical values
Address the following:
o List the ethical values of the organisation.
o Develop a code of conduct for the team you manage.
o Describe what strategies and policies have been developed to ensure that organisation’s ethical values are adhered to.
5. Workplace relationships
Address the following:
o Develop strategies to ensure that effective internal and external and external workplace relationships are developed and maintained.
o Describe how those strategies will be updates as part of an ongoing planning to manage workplace relationships effectively.
6. Issue management
Develop processes to ensure that issues raised are resolved promptly or referred to relevant personnel.
7. Problem and conflict management
Address the following
o Develop a strategy and outline the process to ensure that difficulties in workplace relationships are identified and resolved.
o Develop an action plan to address any identified difficulty.
o Establish processes and systems to ensure that when the difficulties identified in the workplace relationships become conflicts, they are identified and managed constructively in accordance with the organisation’s policy and procedures.
SECTION 2 – LEARNING DIARY
This section is designed in the form of a learning diary. A learning diary is an assessment tool that is based on reflection.
You are required to reflect on some of the topics outlined during the delivery of this unit. 
You can research more on those topics and you can use your personal experience or the scenario/organisation you chose to complete section 1 to support your reflection by applying the knowledge you have acquired in practice.
1. Professional Conduct 
Consider the questions that follow below and develop a cohesive reflection addressing all points.
o What is professional conduct?
o Do you apply professional conduct in your workplace?
o How can you best gain and maintain the trust and confidence of colleagues and external contacts through professional conduct? Discuss providing a practical example.
2. Interpersonal communication
Consider the questions that follow below and develop a cohesive reflection addressing all points.
o What is interpersonal communication?
o What is your style of interpersonal communication?
o How would you adjust your own interpersonal communication styles to meet the organisation’s cultural diversity and ethical environment and guide and support the work team in their personal adjustment process? Discuss providing a practical example.
3. Networks and workplace relationships
Consider the questions that follow below and develop a cohesive reflection addressing all points.
o What is a professional network? How would you describe a workplace network?
o Have you used networks before? How? Were you effective in using networks to your professional advantage?
o How can you use networks to build workplace relationships providing identifiable outcomes for your team and the organisation? Discuss providing a practical example.
4. Counselling and support
Consider the questions that follow below and develop a cohesive reflection addressing all points.
o Describe what counselling and support are in the workplace.
o Have you ever experienced good counselling and support in the workplace? How did it make you feel? How was your work performance impacted?
o How could you provide guidance, counselling and support to assist co-workers in resolving their work difficulties?
SECTION 3 – DOCUMENT DEVELOPMENT
This section requires you to develop a set of documents that would support workplace relationships. You should refer to the scenario/organisation you chose to complete section 1 when developing these documents.
1. Develop a survey to be sent to your team.
Address all the points below:
o Describe the purpose of the survey.
o Describe what type of survey you developed.
o Describe how the survey will be sent to the team, results collected and analysed.
o Describe how the results of the survey will be shared with the team.
o Develop the survey and include a copy with this submission, either below or in a separate file. If you submit a separate file, called the file BSBLDR502_Survey.
2. Develop a newsletter for your team.
Address all the points below:
