Hello, 

As you know, BizOps Enterprises has experienced an expansion in operations across the whole business. This operational expansion will be a good opportunity to review and revise key organisational documents and procedures, to ensure all staff have a thorough understanding of BizOps’s goals, values and objectives and how these impact on their individual roles and jobs. 

I would like you, as the Human Resources Manager, to develop several documents and procedures to ensure department managers have a consistent approach to leading and managing the new and existing staff within the BizOps organisational frameworks. 

Furthermore, I know that you are aware of the need for continuous improvement. Since BizOps’s teams are becoming more diverse, we should develop leadership strategies when working with team members from different cultural backgrounds. 

Please develop a professional development plan along these lines. You will find details about the tasks that I wish you to undertake in the section that follows.

Complete the following tasks in an appropriate format.

Task One

Develop a communications strategy for BizOps Enterprises so that managers can follow the key principles of effective communication when dealing with staff and other stakeholders, including specifications for the media (such as slideshows, diagrams, tables and graphs, visual pictures) and language to be used, taking account of the target audience (such as diverse backgrounds, variations in age gender and education, prior experiences and knowledge). Your plan must include strategies for:

a. clarifying and explaining BizOps’s mission, values and standards in accordance with BizOps’s strategic direction 

b. explaining the impact of legislation in providing leadership in the organisation 

c. outlining how different leadership styles can be used to support BizOps’s mission and values 

d. demonstrating the links between organisational objectives, values and standards, and responsibilities

Task Two

Based on the scenario below, provide a written report of an investigation into the workplace incident, including: 

a. a description of how the incident was promptly investigated 

b. an explanation on the way of communicating the results of the investigation such as via a debrief to relevant groups and individuals 

c. ensuring the organisation is presented positively in the media and community. This may include following codes of conduct, policies and procedures to reduce the risk of damage to the organisation’s reputation and brand.

Task Three

Develop a professional development plan. (You may use Appendix 4)

You must include the following:

a. three personal work objectives written using the SMART method 

b. three opportunities for professional development activities 

c. Details of a professional body and/or business networks to join to develop required skills, including their participation requirements and relevant membership costs 

d. Evidence of regular engagement in professional development activities. This must include a professional or industry network or group
