i) Calculate the square offset to C from the line A-B.
ii) Calculate the distance from A to D.
c) A survey is being done using the plan below as the original plan.
Your survey (shown below) fixes two corners but finds that there is no evidence fixing the road intersection. The bearings are on the same meridian as the plan.
i) Calculate the lines 1-2, 2-3 and T2-2 that you would get if you reinstate Stn2 by maintaining the distances from the plan.
ii) Calculate the lines 1-2, 2-3 and T2-2 that you would get if you reinstate Stn2 by maintaining the angle from the plan.
You continue the survey and discover more evidence (shown below)
iii) Calculate the lines 1-2, 2-3 and T2-2 that you would get if you reinstate Stn2 by intersecting the lines 1-5 and 3-4.
iv) Using you results from i) and iii) calculate the connections 2-4 and 2-5.
v) Comment on your results and how they may influence a cadastral surveyor in their reinstatement practice.
