Task D – indicators of quality food products
This Task refers to the same organisations you investigated and reported on in Tasks A, B and C.
This task requires you to assess a dish from each of the 3 organisations that you investigated against each of the quality indicators listed in the table below.
For each of the organisations that you investigated, select 1 dish from their menu. You need to obtain an image of this dish.
If you are not permitted to photograph the dish, obtain an image of a similar standard of presentation from the internet. Place the source url of your image underneath it. Use the image to illustrate your answers when completing the table below.
If you are unable to try the dish to assess taste, texture or mouthfeel, describe how you would expect the dish to taste, based on how its presentation and smell. Check the box indicating whether you were able to try the dish (real) or your response is imagined (imagined).
The cells will expand as you type into them. You must use appropriate vocabulary for each quality indicator to fully describe your assessment of the dish.
Note: You do not need to have sampled all the ingredients/elements of the dish. Only write about the elements you sampled.
An example of the type of response which would be satisfactory is below; this shows the minimum level of detail that is expected in your response.
