WORKFORCE ANALYSIS REPORT
Prepare a workforce analysis report that addresses:
• Internal business workforce analysis to include:
o Staff turnover
o Skills and capability audit
o Workforce profile (to include diversity quotas)
o Workforce metrics (example FTE and labour arrangements)
o Any other relevant information emerging from your analysis
• Labour supply trends in the country and in the industry of choice
TASK 1- INTERNAL WORKFORCE ANALYSIS
1. Introduction
Address the following
a. Provide a background of the organisation and the industry in which it operates.
b. Indicate why the workforce analysis has been conducted
c. Describe what documents, tools and techniques where used for the workforce analysis.
d. List and name stakeholders that were involved in the development of the workforce analysis
2. Organisational chart
Include organisational chart with at least 4 levels unless you have chosen a small business for your plan.
3. Staff turnover trends
Collect information on staff turnover and present your findings here
Include quantitative (this could be in the form of a chart or a table)
Include qualitative information (this could be in the format of comments from management and/or considerations based on the data collected).
4. Current workforce segmentation
Segment the current workforce using the table below. Consider what is required for each job family/function that you have identified in the organisational chart. Add additional rows if needed.
5. Skills and capacity audit
Complete the table below with information about the skills and capacity audit undertaken in the organisation.
6. Workforce profile
a) Complete the table below with information about the workforce profile in the organisation.
b) Provide information about diversity in the workplace. Example: ratio men to women, Aboriginal and Torres island workforce presence, cultural background mix and/or employee with disabilities.
TASK 2- EXTERNAL WORKFORCE ANALYSIS
1. Introduction
Address the following
a. Indicate why the external workforce analysis to determine labour supply trends has been conducted
b. Describe what documents, tools and techniques where used for the analysis.
c. List and name stakeholders that were involved in the development of the workforce analysis
2. PESTLE Analysis
Undertake a PESTLE analysis that focuses on factors that might affect labour supply trends. Consider factors such as: political environment, technological advancements, demographic changes, education trends, governments policies and directions related to your industry, industry trends and social trends for example.

Undertake a SWOT analysis that focuses on factors that might affect labour supply for the organisation. Consider factors such as: internal strengths and weakness of the organisation (example: current ability to attract skilled labour or HR practices), opportunities and threats coming from the task and general environment such as competitors and suppliers for example
