Engage stakeholders to lead and implement the change
15 a. Formulate a new vision statement for your selected organisation related to the change discussed in Task 1.
b. Internal stakeholders: Investigate any information related to any prior changes of your selected organisation related to vision and other changes (structural, technology, culture, human resource or goals) between internal stakeholders and managers or senior executive staff. Show evidence of how internal stakeholders are prepared to accept the changes. Evidence can be from any meeting or email(s) sent the internal stakeholders in the organisation. (The organisation stakeholders may not reply but evidence of sending an email must be provided). The lecturer approval is required prior to the sending any emails. NOTE: Your lecturer will approve this option - Only if gathering information from prior changes in vision and other changes is not possible - show evidence of discussion amongst your group members (internal stakeholders) related to how internal stakeholders are prepared to accept the changes of a vision and change.
c. Write a brief summary based on the evidence in 15b of how you believe the internal stakeholders would engage and contribute to your new vision statement and changes discussed in Task 1.
d. External stakeholders: Identify any external stakeholders (e.g. past or present customers) and interview them for feedback on your new vision statement and changes discussed in Task 1. Summarise the information gathered. (minimum 6 external stakeholders)
e. Present to external stakeholders (class mates and lecturer) a brief oral presentation on your results of item 15d,
Task 6:
Leadership skills to implement the change
Select a group leader if not already done so in your group.
16. Discuss how your group will implement the changes, discussed in Task 1, in a professional, ethically socially and culturally appropriate way. Cover the group leader and other group members in your discussion.
Task 7:
Self and others change implementation.
17. Discuss how the group leader and the team is motivated and developed to efficiently and effectively implement the change activities. Briefly cover in your answer all 5 elements: setting a motivating environment; empowerment of team members during the change; teamwork and collaboration, people growth and development; support and recognition.
