Appendix D: Assessment Criteria
The assessment criteria for the module are based on the five learning outcomes: -
On completion of the module a student should be able to: -
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and knowledge of the chosen subject area, bringing together and critically evaluating relevant information from a variety of sources;
• Work on a project in a professional manner, planning an appropriate programme of work, building constructive working relationships with colleagues, managing data and information well and working safely and ethically;
• Select and apply appropriate engineering principles and techniques to address the problem;
• Present their work and future plans clearly and professionally;
• Write a technical report that presents the relevant information clearly and in a suitable style.
The criteria that will be used to assess a mark against each of these outcomes for the progress review and the final assessment are shown in the tables overleaf.
