Task 2.2 Use communication strategies to provide work instructions and facilitate work
Schedule a time with the trainer and assessor in week 3 and 4 of class and meet with the task force.
Duration: 30 minutes
Please note that the trainer and assessor will validate that the meeting took place on the marking sheet.
Meeting in week 3
During the meeting
• Share details of the communication plan with the task force
• Explain roles and responsibilities assigned to each member of the task force to deliver the communication plan
• Discuss the roles and responsibilities assigned in the communication matrix
• Ask for feedback and input into the communication plan, the action plan and the communication matrix
• Ask for a peer-review of the communication plan to ensure that it is consistent with legislative and organisational requirements
• Identify communication challenges related to group work and determine solutions in consultation with the group
• Agree on expected work requirements with the task force
• Make sure that work instructions have been understood
• Use interpersonal skills to build relationships with the task force
• Take meeting minutes
After the meeting
• Document the meeting minutes
• Work on developing a communication sample based on your communication plan to present to the group in week 4.
Provide evidence of the sample in the space provided below or attach it to your assessment submission.
Examples of samples may include a screenshot of a social media post, a newsletter article, a video or a PowerPoint presentation.
• Implement one of the solutions you identified to resolve communication challenges within the group. For example: how you set up a communication group in messenger or a slack free account. Or how you have developed a code of conduct for communication within the group.
Provide evidence of the implemented solution.

• Present the communication sample based on your plan and ask for feedback:
o Does the communication sample align with communication requirements?
o Does the sample meet the needs of people from a diverse background?
o Is the message effective?
o What could be changed/refined?
• Present the evidence of the implementation of the solution to the communication challenge. Ask for feedback about the solution:
o Is it effective?
o Does it work?
o What could be changed/refined?
After the meeting
• Document the meeting minutes
