Business Transformation Plan

As a senior manager, your group has appointed to identify and analyse the need for a change within a business organisation selected. (Ensure that the organisation selection is meeting the requirements in section A, item 1). You also need to plan to successfully execute, and monitor the change by completing a list of tasks as provided below. The change could undertaken to be aligned with the strategic goals of the entity and aimed to improve its performance. This means each group must select an organisation which or could have an organisation change in one of the 5 following areas:  structure, technology, culture, human resources, or goals.

NOTE: There is a minimum of 10 references required in this assignment included 3 from academic sources. No wikipedia, blogs, personal web sites, movies or similar unacceptable sources.

Following tasks must be completed as the part of the ‘Business Transformation Plan’

Task 1: Details of the change

For your selected organisation, the ‘Business Transformation Plan’ must address the following requirements.

9. Introduction: Briefly describe your organisation’s main products and/or services and where your organisation is located in NZ. Reference information from other sources.

10.  a. Describe clearly the new change which the organisation will undertake in one of 5 areas – structure, technology, culture, human resource or goals.  Ensure you clearly state which one of the 5 change areas you will be addressing with your change.

b. Justify with reference to your selected organisation and its strategic objectives why the area selected has been chosen. Full and correct references must be provided for the sources used.

11.  Discuss the change in more detail:

a. What type of change have you selected? (Radical, linear incremental or non-incremental breakthroughs or a combination of these).

b. Justify why your change is the type stated above. Full and correct references must be provided for the sources used.

12.  Discuss how the following elements are used to implement the changes proposed to meet the organisation strategic objectives: commitment, communication or collaboration aspects. Ensure you cover all 3 elements. Justify your answers. Full and correct references must be provided for the sources used.

Task 2:

Details of change

13.   Discuss how business knowledge is applied to implement the change activities for all of the following 5 areas (principles and practices of) operations; accounting; sales and marketing; human resources and risk management. Full and correct references must be provided for the sources used.

Task 3:

Solving a challenge related to the change

14.  Briefly but clearly identify a potential challenge you predict could occur related to the change discussed in Task 1 and explain how you would solve this challenge.
