We want to examine the relationship between the body temperature Y and the heart rate X. Further, we would like to use heart rate to predict the body temperature. Below is the STATA code (in bold) and output from running a linear regression for body temperature using heart rate as the predictor.

a) Interpret the estimate of regression coefficient and examine its statistical significance.

b) Find the R2 and explain how to use it to assess model fit.

c) Given the diagnostic plots, assess if the model assumption is met.

d) If someone’s heart rate is 80, what would be your estimate for this person’s body temperature?
