Assignment Prompt:
A researcher was interested in testing the effectiveness of a new migraine medication. The researcher recruited a sample of people who suffer from migraines. The volunteers reported every migraine they experienced during a 30-day period. Since they would not receive the medication, they would serve as the Control Group. To test the medication, the researcher recruited another sample of participants to match with every participant from the Control Group. Every volunteer was matched based on the severity of their migraines. The second sample was provided a 30-day supply of the medication and they reported every migraine they experienced while taking the pill. Was the migraine medication successful in reducing the number of migraines in a 30-day period? Test this hypothesis using alpha levels of .01 and .05 (you will compare p to both alphas).
